MidAmerican Energy will soon Become First Renewable Energy Utility

MidAmerican Energy has announced a large-scale wind energy project called the “Wind XII”. It is a 2 gigawatt portfolio worth $3.6 billion and the largest economic development project development is Iowa’s history. The successful completion of Wind XII would ensure that all energy supplied to the company’s customers was sourced from 100% renewable energy. Iowa currently ranks as the third largest wind energy state in the US, only inches behind Oklahoma, and Texas with more than triple the Megawatts. We hope to see more utility companies to follow lead with the 100% renewable energy reliance.
