Here are some easy ways to save energy and money in your home:

  1. Use LED light bulbs and turn off lights when not in use.
  2. Lower the thermostat in the winter and raise it in the summer.
  3. Use a programmable thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature.
  4. Seal air leaks around doors and windows with weatherstripping and caulk.
  5. Insulate your attic to prevent heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer.
  6. Use energyefficient appliances and electronics.
  7. Turn off electronics when not in use or use power strips to easily turn off multiple devices.
  8. Use natural light and ventilation whenever possible.
  9. Wash clothes in cold water and air dry or use a high-efficiency dryer.
  10. Use a lowflow showerhead and faucet aerators to reduce water usage.
